September 2022 Wedding Dates Available!
After the Covid-19 pandemic pushed back weddings for so many couples, 2021 is proving to be a year full of weddings and all sorts of gatherings now that the vaccine is available. Those rescheduled weddings also mean that 2022 dates are filling up fast. At A Touch of Class, we still have Saturdays available in September of 2022 for couples to book their weddings! This also gives us an opportunity to tell you why we love hosting fall weddings in Cedar Rapids, Iowa so much.
Fall Weather
The weather is obviously one of the biggest draws for a fall wedding. As the air gets cooler, we get some relief from the sometimes extreme heat and humidity that we get every summer here in the Cedar Rapids Area. Mild temperatures make having your outdoor wedding ceremony in our gazebo truly perfect. No worries of hair getting frizzy from humidity or sweating from simply standing outside. September evenings can be a little colder, but we have a gorgeous indoor wedding reception space with a full bar ready to accommodate your guests until you arrive.
Fall Colors
Fall colors are a popular choice for wedding decor, and they’re so versatile that couples have no trouble making them into a theme that perfectly represents what they love. Deep or bright orange, burgundy, deep and dusty greens and the deep yellow of sunflowers are all colors that look great in our space! Although we’ve been around for awhile, we’ve recently revamped our space to have unique features, such as rustic white exposed brick, that act as a canvas for your perfect wedding theme (fall colors or not).
Local Drinks & Produce
In the Cedar Rapids area, fall means fresh hard apple cider that’s grown and brewed by Wilson’s Orchard, a local orchard in Iowa City. They also sell their produce, which could make for some delicious wedding favors. Of course, fall also means pumpkins! Pumpkins come into season closer to the end of September and they make a very cute addition to fall themed wedding decor. One local pumpkin patch where you can find many varieties of pumpkins is Bart’s Farm in Marion, Iowa. Whatever color, shape or size of pumpkin you’re looking for, you’re likely to find it there!
