You may have already seen our announcement, but as of July 2022 A Touch of Class Banquets is now Rosedale Park Event Center. We could not be more excited about this transition to the new brand!

Not only have we rebranded the event center and wedding venue, but we’ve also separated A Touch of Class catering from the event center and it is now Zest Catering Company. We still operate the catering service out of the same building in Cedar Rapids, IA, and Zest Catering is the exclusive caterer for events held at Rosedale Park. Our catering delivery service remains the same, and we’re still here and ready for your cedar rapids catering needs (and the surrounding areas).

We (Quint and Jennifer) bought the business as A Touch of Class in 2018, and after running it for four years our purpose in rebranding the two companies was to have them reflect who we are as business owners and to embody some of the history of our building and park.

Rosedale Park Event Center used to be known as Rosedale School #2 in the early 1900’s. From 1911 to 1912, American artist Grant Wood was even a teacher at the school. Although it’s no longer school grounds, we love being able to keep Rosedale Park as a peaceful place for people to gather and children to play.

Making it a place where love is celebrated so often as a wedding ceremony and reception venue (indoor and outdoor) is a huge added bonus for us! We are a family of five with three daughters, and occasionally (when the space isn’t being used as an event venue), we love to watch our kids enjoy the big open spaces indoors and out.

Our Cedar Rapids wedding venue and event venue can hold events for up to 250 people. We have tons of amenities included in our wedding venue rentals, including indoor or outdoor ceremony and reception spaces, lots of overnight parking spaces, private park and playground, outdoor and indoor bars, indoor and outdoor bridal spaces, plenty of natural photo settings, a recently renovated indoor wedding reception space and lounge, professional event staff and so much more.
